Food is a joke, the downstairs is uninviting and there's nothing striking about the inside except a large cracked mirror on the wall - but make no mistake: Sweetwater is a classic. It has that certain something that begs you to pull up a stool and let the good times roll. The waitresses and bartenders are sporting enough to let a certain amount of mischief slide, and few of the people that come here put on airs. By far the most attractive asset this beauty sports is its outside patio area, which at night in the summertime is pure magic. Watching the crowds of young people pour into the alley from outside with a mug in hand is a real pleasure. Go for 20's crowds and a down-to-earth vibe.
