The Scoop - Editorial Review by Lincoln Freeze

A great concept almost ruined by intangibles, Picco's unique blend of Pizza and Ice Cream triumphs in the end. Short for Pizza and Ice Cream Company, Picco is a casual alternative to the South End's many new upscale eateries. The reasonably priced meals generally begin with a thin crust pizza that is to die for and almost never end without a selection (or two) from their ice cream menu. At first the service left a bit to be desired but the pleasant server eventually made up for it. The decor is trendy yet inviting, complete with wall-mounted candles and an old-fashioned ice cream fountain. Beware weekend nights, as Picco can fill up quickly and space becomes a luxury they cannot afford to waste.
