The Scoop - Editorial Review by Austin Hunt
This is a place that grows on you. The bar itself, which makes a mean cocktail, is dwarfed by the well-designed restaurant that includes a memorable mural of beautiful women in swimsuits on a yacht with some suave dudes. There is a considerable attention to detail which really makes it all work. Eating and drinking in the restaurant is just as much fun as chatting it up in the bar. Plenty of four-top tables fill the area, and a huge stuffed buffallo (named Mike Bison) looks out at the 24-35 year-old crowd. About as good a place to meet people as any bar on Boylston, The Cactus Club has some of the best drinks for the money so buying them for others isn't a chore. A must for Boylston bar-hoppers.
